Women in the Church—Part 2

I’m up against a deadline today, so of necessity, this will be short.

I find it fascinating that most men are staying away from commenting on this subject. Marvin is the notable exception, and he voiced the opinion that women could be elders. So my question, is this topic a sort of hot-potato for men because feminists have intimidated them or are they really without an opinion concerning the role of women in the church?

In fact, in regards to this issue, I believe the real problem facing the church is silence. Without teaching—specific instruction about where and how women should serve in the church—it seems the culture will play the bigger part in molding a good portion of women’s attitudes about our role in the church.

This, in my opinion, is bound to lead to confusion, if not stunted ministry.
